2nd anniversary of OLGA Project – Driving Green Aviation and Sustainable Connectivity
Aligned with the EU Green Deal, OLGA has pioneered innovative solutions to promote biodiversity, air quality, circularity, and sustainable aviation fuel. By accelerating energy and intermodal hub concepts, the project enhances energy efficiency, green operations, and smart logistics, particularly through air-rail integration.
GDi is proud to be part of this, one of the largest innovation projects in Europe, partnering with Zagreb Airport. In December 2023, Zagreb Airport organised an OLGA Project conference on the theme of green airports and smart cities which gathered approximately 150 participants, such as city representatives, policymakers, academia as well as environmental and mobility experts. This event showed how European and local collaboration can transcend sustainability into an achievable goal. It is essential that airports, cities, and regions work together towards a shared vision, that of preserving the environment and improving the quality of life of local communities through smart mobility, energy efficiency and climate change adaptation measures.
