GDi Skopje recognised for socially responsible best practices
In addressing the challenges of sustainable development, private business, with its creativity, investment and innovation plays a key role. But it is essential also to receive support from the national government and its relevant departments in order to encourage the private sector.
Thankfully, the Ministry of Economy of North Macedonia has reaffirmed its commitment by taking measures and creating policies to foster social responsibility. They have developed a ‘Mid-term Social Responsibility Strategy for the Republic of North Macedonia 2019-2023’ which was last month adopted by the Government.
On Monday (02-12-2019), as part of this encouragement and demonstration of commitment, the ‘National Enterprise CSR Awards North Macedonia’ were held at Hotel Holiday Inn, Skopje.
This year a total of 30 projects from 22 Macedonian companies registered for the competition. 7 small and medium-sized enterprises entered with 7 projects, while 15 large companies entered with 23 projects.
GDi Skopje is honoured to announce that it has been chosen as winner of the following awards:
Category – Community Investment for large enterprises
Award – National Award for best Socially Responsible Practices in 2019
Project title – ‘GDi Community’
Category – Market relation for large enterprises.
Award – Successful Implementation (award for recognition) of Socially Responsible Practices in 2019
Project title’ – GDi Academy’
Other winners included:

- Tinex-MT D.O.O.E.L. Skopje (“Pokrov”)
- EVN Macedonia AD Skopje (“Electromobility with EVN”)
- Brewery Skopje AD (Youth Training “Success Skills”)
- Party Service Leo D.O.O.E.L. Skopje (“Donation Project for the Care, Support and Assistance of Homeless Persons”)
- CBC Collective DOO Skopje (“Komunicira.me”)
The GDi Skopje Team commented that “Today’s recognition will be an even bigger motivation to continue investing in our community by implementing the best CSR practices.”
