Uragan Harvey u SAD-u pretvorio se u jednu od najvećih elementarnih nepogoda u povijesti SAD-a. Korištenjem modernih geoinformacijskih tehnologija koje nudi ArcGIS Platforma omogućeno je dobro i pravovremeno informiranje o stanju hidrometeoroloških i transportnih prilika uz mogućnost da građani direktno objave informacije s terena i podijele ih sa žurnim službama i najširom javnosti.
Nakon požara treba identificirati područja koja su opožarena zbog naknade moguće materijalne štete te analize mogućih uzroka nastanka požara i razmatranja aktivnosti koje se mogu poduzeti da se smanji mogućnost požara u budućnosti.
Wildfires have affected several countries in Europe and other parts of the world in recent months. The Dalmatian area of Croatia has been no exception and has very recently been particularly affected. High temperatures, dry conditions and strong winds have been contributing factors in the rapid spread of these fires.
