Customer Success Engineer for Digital Industry (DACH Region)

Start date:  Immediately or after 30 days’ notice period.

Contract type:  permanent

Location:  Germany (Remote).

Travel: Requires occasional travel to customer sites in Europe / EMEA and our regional offices.

Your challenge

Help us shape our future and become a part of GDi’s success story as a Customer Success Engineer for Digital Industry DACH.
You will be responsible for driving the technical development of sales opportunities through to successful conclusion by working within a wider pre-sales, bid function and implementation role supporting business development leads across multiple sales opportunities and multiple industries.

Additionally, you will be responsible for leading client solution design, preparation, and delivery of solution content to bid development activities, product demonstrations, solution presentations as well as Proof of Concept (PoC) implementations.
You will work closely together with GDi’s international team of industry and product experts to ensure the best achievable customer success and you will be directly reporting to the Business Development Director DACH.

What will you do?

  • Provide effective customer success engagement to support ongoing business development activities
  • Develop, present, and respond to RFIs/RFPs
  • Provide solution implementations to ensure GDi’s solutions are competitive, compelling, and differentiated for the market vertical
  • Design and present engaging product demonstrations that showcase the full capabilities of the GDi Ensemble product portfolio shaped by industry trends and needs
  • Provide leadership and support in the development of sales/client value propositions
  • Work with stakeholders to convert bid strategies into compliant, winning bidsPlan, modify and implement the GDi Ensemble products to meet customer needs in the implementation of the industrial operations such as Telecoms, Energy sector and Logistics
  • Use your extensive technical knowledge in engineering/science principles to sell goods and services as well as provide support for installation, rollout, operations and maintenance.
  • Effectively interact and communicate with our product and implementation experts to provide solutions to complex technical issues or gaps
  • Oversee maintenance, development and evolution of all pre-sales and GDi sales/bid materials
  • Be a technical expert for any kind of futured local customer facing events like exhibitions, conferences, webinars etc.
  • Become an expert and user of the GDi Ensemble solutions, it’s policies and standards

About you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications, electrical engineering or any other related field
  • Have 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role and experience in leading pre-sales client engagement – familiarity with the German, Austrian and Swiss regional/local governments
  • Have excellent communication skills and experience in presenting and demonstrating systems
  • Have experience working in at least one of the following industries: Telecoms, Energy Sector (Electricity, Gas, Water), Transport and Logistics
  • Have a technical background with Cloud-Services (Azure, AWS), SaaS, Integration, Interfaces, APIs and web services
  • A team player with a passion for getting the best out of people and determination to win in the market
  • Speak German at a native level and you are fluent in English; other languages (Croatian, French, Dutch) are considered a plus
  • Enjoy traveling to both local and national customers and prospects

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Work Force Management (WFM), Field Service Management (FSM), Geographic Information System (GIS), SAP, Transport Management Systems (TMS), Fleet Management System (FMS), Telematics or Business Process Management
